Dr. Dan Zambanini, PT, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Charlotte
Dan is originally from Johnstown, PA, and lived in Nashville, TN for four years before making the move to Charlotte. His athletic background, combined with his passion for helping others, is what ultimately led him to pursue a career in physical therapy.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State University in 2016 and spent a year working as a personal trainer at One-on-One Fitness in State College, PA before heading to graduate school. In 2020, Dan graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Francis University. He went on to complete a one-year orthopedic residency program through Saint Francis, becoming both a Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Before joining the Made 2 Move team, Dan spent five years working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, treating athletes of all ages, levels, and backgrounds — from recreational to professional. His continuing education has included pain neuroscience, treatment of overhead athletes, golfers, and runners, ACL rehab, and dry needling, to name a few.
Dan is passionate about finding and addressing the root cause of pain. He believes high-quality, one-on-one physical therapy can truly be a game changer for anyone dealing with pain, whether acute or chronic.
Outside the clinic, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife Erin and their dog Mushu. He’s an avid fly fisherman, a die-hard Penn State and Pittsburgh sports fan, and loves to sing and playing guitar. He was even in an a cappella group in college - that's how he met his wife!
