“It was a cycle of pulling my back, resting, getting better, and then going back to back pain.”
“My name’s Kristina Watson and I live in Matthews. I started dealing with back pain 13 years ago, before kids, in my mid-twenties. I didn’t do anything about it — I just kept working out and exercising — so it never healed properly.
For 13 years, it was an off-and-on struggle. It would go away for a while, then I’d do something in the gym and pull it again. I’d rest a little, come back, then hurt again.
I tried chiropractors — the stretches and cracking would feel good while I was there, but nothing ever changed. I tried yoga on my own at home — that helped temporarily, but it was like a Band-Aid. Every morning I woke up with back pain. It just became part of my life.”
