Do your elbows hurt?

Are you limited because you don’t want to aggravate or re-injure your elbow?

If you answered yes to either of these, this is the blog for you!

Here is a quick list of the most common elbow problems we see in the clinic…

1. Tennis Elbow “lateral epicondylitis”:

Pain on the outside of elbow with gripping or squeezing

2. Golfer’s Elbow “medial epicondylitis”:

Pain on the inside of the elbow with gripping or squeezing

3. General Elbow Pain Due to Lack of ROM:

Difficulty straightening or bending the elbow fully

So you have elbow pain…..Now what are you supposed to to about it?

Elbow pain can be debilitating and annoying. It can be notoriously difficult to treat. It affects everyday life to the point where frustration sets in and can really limit you. There are alot of treatments out there… anti-inflammatories, cortisone shots, even surgery! These options rarely have good long term results.

Consider an Alternate Solution!

Let’s talk about conservative treatment. One that works with your body to provide a long term solution, not a short term fix. Your body has an amazing capacity to heal and adapt to stress. Your elbow typically gets aggravated due to too much stress (unless there was some type of traumatic event). We are going to show you our first 3 steps to getting back to life without elbow pain. This won’t be easy and will take a lot of work, however, has no negative side effects! This plan will start to move the needle forward.

Get a Customized Plan

And get a full hour with a physical therapist.

1. Avoid painful activities

This should be self explanatory, but seriously avoid them completely

2. Start doing a regular elbow exercise program

(See Below)

3. Slow graded exposure when working back into painful activities

You must have a plan!

There it is! That’s the magical key to the castle of pain-free living! It’s really that easy. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.
